Every year, the UGA's Centre universitaire d'études françaises (CUEF), trains around 2,500 students of over 120 different nationalities. It has been rewarded with the FLE quality label and offers French language and culture courses 11 months out of 12.

The Science and Technology Degree Department (DLST) welcomes all students in the first two years of science degrees (around 1,450 in the 1st year and 1,200 in the 2nd year + around 100 students in the preparatory year for the degree). Biology, chemistry, mathematics, computing, earth sciences, physics, mechanics, civil engineering and electronics are taught by highly qualified teachers.

The CUEF assists its students with all the necessary information about their arrival and stay (accommodation, transportation, insurance, everyday life…). For accommodation, CUEF helps students book a room in one of UGA's preferred partner student residences.
The UGA is labeled "Welcome to France" and offers a large number of services to the students: digital services, access to numerous libraries, community life, cultural and sports activities, social and health services, etc.
These services are located in a single place, the University House of Student Services (MUSE). In this location, international students benefit from a privileged welcome desk, the International students and scholars office (ISSO).

The students also have the chance to join a university sponsorship system, the "buddy system," where they will be paired with a local student.
The UGA Campus is known as one of the most beautiful in France, with its 3,000 trees, its multiple cultural and sports facilities and its 44 works of art.
