Bachelor's and Master’s degrees – ARTS
The École Supérieure des Arts (ESÄ) offers a diverse range of programmes in the field of visual arts, leading to qualifications recognised by the Ministry of Culture. The school mainly offers two levels of study:
National Diploma of Art (DNA) – Art Option:
This diploma is equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree and allows students to develop a personal artistic practice while acquiring solid theoretical and technical skills. The programme emphasises artistic experimentation, general cultural knowledge, and contemporary practices, preparing students to pursue further studies or enter the professional art world.
Higher National Diploma of Plastic Expression (DNSEP) – "Art, Society, Nature" (Dunkirk) and "Art, Science, Nature" (Tourcoing):
The DNSEP deepens artistic research, plastic expression, and interdisciplinary, enabling students to develop creative projects linked to contemporary societal, environmental, and scientific issues. Students benefit from personalised guidance and are encouraged to develop their artistic autonomy and capacity for innovation.
Graduates of our programmes primarily work in the art sectors under various statuses: self-employed (liberal professions, artist-author), employees in the public sector, either at the state or local level.
They may simultaneously or successively pursue professions related to the field of creation and its transmission. Fine artist, designer, author-photographer, graphic designer, scenographer, interior architect, illustrator and comic book author, multimedia creator, art teacher, art director, exhibition curator.

The ESÄ hosts nearly 300 students across its two locations, providing a diverse and innovative educational offering within its Art option, which spans the Lille metropolitan area and the coastal region ok Dunkerque. The cross-border nature of these territories fosters exchanges, with the proximity of major European cultural capitals (Brussels, Ghent, Liège, Lille, London, Rotterdam...) enhancing the reach and breadth of its educational programmes. The academic, professional, and institutional network thus established creates a dynamic environment for project development and academic pathways in the fields of education, professional integration, international mobility, and research.
ESÄ prioritises a pedagogical approach based on the interaction between theory and practice, research, and international openness, with a strong network of academic and professional partnerships that enriches the students' educational experience. The programmes are designed to train artists, creators, and researchers who can thrive in a diverse professional context. These courses enable students to build a unique artistic practice while integrating into a dynamic professional network, within an environment rich in cultural and artistic exchanges.

In addition to tuition fees and the CVEC, other expenses should be anticipated throughout the course, depending on artistic research, in order to complete personal creative projects.
The institution assists students receive all the necessary information about their arrival, including details on accommodation, transportation, and social security etc. Students have to reserve a room in one of the private market helped by the international desk.
Student mentors are available to welcome and facilitate a smooth integration into the school, as well as help with day-to-day life.
During their time at the university, students will receive support from the entire teaching staff, with particular assistance from the language professor.
