PRESENTATION OF THE INSTITUTION

This Classes Internationales (Engineering International Indian INP (Engineering 3'INP)) will welcome 20 Indian students. The Institut national polytechnique Clermont Auvergne (INP) is the engineering cluster and an autonomous institute of the Université Clermont Auvergne (awarded the national label of excellence ""I-SITE"" in March 2022). Each year, its three engineering schools train responsible and committed engineers to meet the societal challenges of tomorrow. Clermont Auvergne INP develops its courses in synergy with research laboratories. It has forged close links with the socio-economic world, enabling it to anticipate the skills needs of industry. It currently has 2,700 students and 200 doctoral students enrolled and employs 350 scientific and administrative staff.

Clermont Auvergne INP was originally created in 2021 by the merger of three independent engineering schools (Polytech Clermont, ISIMA and SIGMA) in the city of Clermont-Ferrand. They have been part of the region's scientific landscape for a very long time. For example, SIGMA Clermont has a Chemistry section dating back to its creation in 1906 as the 4th national chemistry school in France. With the creation of Clermont Auvergne INP, the school is now the largest higher education establishment dedicated to science and technology in central France.

Clermont Auvergne INP is a member of the INP Group. This national alliance currently comprises 5 public institutions in Clermont-Ferrand, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Nancy and Grenoble. This alliance is number 1 in France in terms of engineering student numbers, currently training 28,000 students in their 36 members engineering schools.
